Luke Bryan, Lauren Alaina, Big & Rich, Jana Kramer and Brett Eldredge were among the country stars that helped give a group of campers a Nashville experience they’ll never forget.
Last week marked the Academy of Country Music’s third annual ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp, a week-long residential program in Nashville that hosts a nationwide group of musically inclined campers with developmental disabilities.
Throughout their week in Music City, campers took part in a songwriting workshop with Eldredge and David Lee Murphy, recorded a song in Ocean Way Studio with Bryan and Paul Worley, sang karaoke with Alaina, had a cookout with Kramer, and capped off their week by performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage with Big & Rich.
The camp is a partnership between ACM Lifting Lives - the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music - and Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. To learn more, visit www.acmliftinglives.org.
